[About the BANANA BLACK series]
"BANANA BLACK" is a craft series created using the "Mottainai Banana Charcoal" promoted by Dole Co., Ltd. and the technology of the upcycling brand FOOD STONE.
Bananas that are discarded in the Philippines as not meeting the standards are carbonized and then reconstructed into a "stone-like material" using the charcoal.
This product has a jet black body with white patterns made from natural ash, giving it a unique texture that is one of a kind.
Plants, tools, fragrances - gently add sustainable beauty to your everyday life.
[What is FOOD STONE?]
FOOD STONE is an upcycling brand that breathes new life into food waste that would otherwise be discarded, transforming it into stone-like sculptural materials.
By combining unused resources such as coffee grounds, fruit peels, and vegetable peels with minerals derived from seawater, we create products that possess natural colors and textures.
We achieve sustainable manufacturing that reduces the burden on the environment by not relying on petroleum-derived chemicals or high-temperature processing.
